2008 Calendar of Events
Note: When the proposed programs are finalized, the dates and times of
the events will be included at this site.
CURRENT ON-GOING PROGRAMS:
Environmental Committee – includes maintenance of the Ozona
Preserve located on North St. between Ridge Road and Bay Shore. Ozona
Clean-up Day, an annual event (and sometimes on-going event) to keep the
area roadways clean in our “Adopt a Mile’ program. Have ‘Tree’
sales to encourage the replacement of our old Live Oak and other native
tree’s that were lost to weather, disease and construction. Volunteers
are always welcome and appreciated. Contact Reggie Hall or Bob Fortner
if you are interested in participating.
Historical Committee – consist of collecting current and historical
records, articles and photo’s of Ozona’s community activities
and residents. Document’s supporting the ’times’ of Ozona
has been placed into scrapbooks by some lovely ladies to preserve our
history. Please visit the hall and view our history. Contact Terry Fortner
or Meridith Grannan if you are interested in participating in maintaining
these records
Membership Committee - includes the electronic maintenance of the
membership status, encouraging new membership and sponsors, and assisting
with the newsletter mailings. Contact Barb Haley
Hall Oversight Committee - Meridith Grannan and Don Conover are in charge
of this Committee. This committee covers Hall maintenance and rentals.Community
Affairs and Interests Committee – Activities of this committee are
to be defined at a later date.
Volunteers are needed by The Ozona Village Community to help organize,
plan and assist with programs, as well as any suggestions for future community
events. We believe that having the younger generations of this community,
more involved in these, and future events, will ensure that the continued
historical legacy of the Ozona Hall and Village are maintained. We hope
to see you soon at our next gathering.
