Ozona is a community of about 775 households, located in the northern unincorporated Pinellas County, west of Alternate 19, and north of Curlew Road.  Tampa Road leads directly into and, in fact, originates in Ozona.  Because of its history and location, the special qualities of this coastal community have become the subject of much discussion amongst residents and county officials.  Our neighborhood is approaching the point of “build-out” as is evidenced by the current redevelopment and increased density housing market.  The citizens of Ozona are asking for the assistance of our county government as we seek to retain the essential features and qualities that make us a thriving community.  The following document has been assembled by members of the Ozona Village Improvement Society (OVIS) and is intended to serve as a guide for decisions that will affect our community.  It is the heartfelt desire of the residents of our community to maintain our neighborhood in a way that will preserve our past, enhance our present, and promote the future of our Ozona neighborhood.
